Shirley’s Beauty & Laser Clinic was originally established in September 1998, we are a family orientated company, with a small management team that is highly flexible and extremely hands on. Shirley has almost 25 years’ experience in the beauty industry and has created an exceptionally strong, multi award winning brand based in a state of the art Beauty, Skin & Laser Clinic in Glanmire, Cork.
Over the last 25 Years Shirley has gone on to complete a wide array of courses in Beauty, Body, Advanced Skincare, Laser, Semi Permanent Make Up, Medical Micro Pigmentation & Medical Grade Aesthetics to name a few. Since opening her very own Beauty & Laser Clinic in the heart of Glanmire all those years ago, Shirley has trained many a Beauty Therapist to ensure they are providing treatments in a hygienic & professional manner at an exceptional standard of customer service every single day.
Shirley has seen many trends come and go over the years as we are constantly introducing the most innovative and up-to-date treatments always. We believe in reinvesting and retraining our team in every aspect of the beauty industry each year to be the best that they can be, so rest assured you will be trained with only the finest products on the market at the highest standard. We are taking things to a whole new level, providing hands on advanced training courses at the highest standard of training by our VTCT Qualified Educators & Accessors. We will provide you with the theoretical & practical knowledge to offer the best treatments to your clients.
Our courses are designed to teach you as a total beginner so if you have no previous experience you will be totally fine, we will teach you everything you need to know to master your skills and secure a job in a beauty clinic. If you are a young lady looking to specialise in a certain treatment or a working mum who is looking for a career change we are your go to academy to teach you everything you need to know.
Our courses are also suitable for a Junior Beauty Therapist just beginning her career as well as a more Senior Therapist who is looking to refresh her skills and offer more advanced treatments.
If you are a therapist who is no longer in the Beauty Industry and you would like to get back into it, then we would only be delighted to welcome you to our Beauty Academy!
Our Educators are on hand 6 days a week via Email or Phone if you have any questions, we can also provide an advanced power hour of training to answer any questions that you may have or to run through the training again should you feel you need polish off your skills. We will provide you with detailed training manuals, starter kits, video tutorials and professional training by our on hand tutors to ensure you are going to be the most sought after Beauty Therapist in Cork!
A €100 Non-Refundable Deposit is required for each course and can be purchased on our Beauty Academy Shop.

Shirley's Classic 1:1 Eyelash Extension Course
Our Classic 1:1 Eyelash Extension Course will provide you with the basic knowledge needed for a career as an Eyelash Stylist, it is the ideal course for someone who is just starting out as a Beauty Therapist or a Senior Beauty Therapist who may wish to add to their portfolio. During this training, theoretical knowledge & placement techniques are discussed, as well as the management skills needed to run a successful Lash Extension Business. The practical part of Training focuses on the One by One Technique, in which individual Eyelash Extensions are placed on the Natural Eyelash.

Shirley's Ear Piercing Course
Ear piercing using Caflon Systems is a safe and useful profit making service requiring little in the way of financial investment, using minimal amounts of space, and taking just a short amount of time. Caflon Ear Piercing Systems is a wise and safe investment especially with so many young kids having their ears pierced for communions, confirmations and birthdays.

Shirley's Russian Volume Eyelash Extension Course
Our Russian Volume Eyelash Extension Course is held in high regard as a Master Lash technique. During this course you will learn to create even more Volume with the thinnest, softest Eyelashes from our range. This Training is exclusively intended for Eyelash Stylists who have already mastered Classic Lashes & a Certificate will be requested.

Shirley's Lash Lifting Course
Lash Lifting Training teaches the treatment of curling the natural Eyelash without using Extensions or Mascara. Lash Lifting is different from the standard ‘Lash Lift Perm’ as with this technique no rolls are used or required. This means the Lash Lift Treatment is painless & absolutely not harmful to Natural Eyelashes, because we use silicone pads & approved liquids. Are you an experienced lash stylist and do you also wish to specialize yourself further in the business, then this treatment is a great addition to your repertoire.
Lash lifting is a treatment where the natural lashes are curled without the use of lash extensions or mascara.
Our technique does not involve the use of lash benders. The treatment is pain free and harmless because silicone pads and certified fluids are being used.

Shirley's Henna Brow Course
Our Henna Brow Training will teach you everything you need to know about Eyebrow theory, various shaping techniques as well as Hygiene, Health & Safety & Semi Permanent Brow colouring using Henna. Brows are shaped during this treatment using hot wax so a Beauty Therapy Qualification is required to attend this Training Course.
